Our story
Why a dental practice on wheels
Anyone who has had a toothache after hours knows the problem. Your regular dentist is closed, the next available appointment may be days or weeks away, and a hospital emergency room can manage pain and infection but usually can't repair the tooth itself. Meanwhile, the pain makes it hard to sleep, eat, work or think clearly.
1-855-ERDentist exists to close that gap. The name is also the phone number: one easy-to-remember line that connects you to our team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rather than asking someone in pain to drive across town, our mobile dental truck travels to patients in Sacramento, Roseville, Lincoln, Rocklin, Folsom, Marysville and communities in El Dorado and Yuba counties.
Our emergency dental care is where many relationships with us begin, but it isn't where they have to end. After the urgent problem is under control, the same team can provide the treatment that often follows, such as a root canal, a crown, a denture or an implant, along with the checkups and cleanings that help prevent the next emergency.
Meet your dentist
Dr. Farid Gogani, DDS
Dr. Gogani earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. After graduating in 1994 he entered private practice, and he also became a key member of the research team in the university's department of cariology, the branch of dentistry that studies tooth decay. The team's work focused on caries prevention, the development of new dental products and modern restorative techniques.
That grounding in prevention still shapes how he practices. Fixing the tooth in front of him matters, but so does understanding why the problem happened and what can reduce the chance of it happening again.
Dr. Gogani became licensed to practice dentistry in California in 1999 and has practiced in the Greater Sacramento area ever since. He has devoted his career to all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in new restorative techniques such as crowns and restorations, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
Outside dentistry he is a husband and father with a love of art, painting, music and history, interests that fit his view that dentistry is a field where art and science meet.

What to expect
What a visit from 1-855-ERDentist looks like
Every visit is a little different, depending on your situation and where we meet you, but most follow the same pattern.
Before the visit
When you call, we'll ask what's going on, how long it has been happening, and about any swelling, fever, medications and allergies. We'll give you practical advice for managing symptoms until the dentist arrives, and we'll tell you directly if your symptoms sound like they need a hospital first.
During the visit
The dentist will examine the area and explain what they find in plain language. You'll hear about your options, including doing nothing for now, where that's reasonable, before anything is done. Local anesthetic is used to numb the area for procedures.
After the visit
You'll receive aftercare instructions for your treatment and know who to call if something doesn't feel right. If further treatment is recommended, such as a crown to protect a tooth after a root canal, we'll plan the next steps with you.
